SERVICES

Wasatch Pediatric Neuropsychology offers a range of services to support children, teenagers, emerging adults and families, including evaluation, consultations, and collaboration with providers, services and schools.

Our Approach

We help parents and caregivers understand how a child or adolescent learns, thinks, behaves, and manages emotions. Our personalized evaluations identify strengths, clarify challenges, and provide practical recommendations to support growth, confidence, and independence at home and at school.

Evaluations We Provide

Medically Involved

An in-depth assessment of cognitive abilities, including learning, attention, language, memory, problem solving, and emotional and behavioral regulation, to clarify diagnoses and guide individualized recommendations, particularly for those with known or suspected medical or developmental conditions.

ADHD

Targeted examination of attention, impulse control, activity level, and related factors to determine possible fit for a diagnosis and guide appropriate supports and interventions.

Autism

Assessment of a person’s social communication, behavior, and development to determine whether their profile is consistent with the diagnosis and to guide appropriate interventions and supports.

Learning Problems

Assesses a person’s academic skills and learning processes to determine whether challenges in reading, writing, or math reflect a specific learning disorder.

Mental Health

Examines a person’s psychological, emotional and behavioral functioning to identify concerns such as anxiety, depression, or mood and behavior difficulties and guide treatment planning.

Infant/Toddler

Evaluate early developmental skills in communication, motor, social, and cognitive areas, to identify delays and guide early intervention as well as preparation for preschool and Kindergarten.

What People Are Saying

Meeting with our doctor and doing the testing helped us understand in a deeper way how our child’s brain works and what tools might be helpful for our child and family. Her demeanor and persona put our child at ease right away. The time she took to collaborate with us when relaying the results was supportive and valuable.
-Parents of 11 yo
Because of her injury, our child has multiple difficulties, and for the first time we felt that someone truly understood the whole picture. Our doctor was patient and flexible in making the testing fit our daughter’s abilities, which helped them work well together to get it done. She took the time to talk with many other providers and visit her school to really understand all the parts. As parents, we finally understand challenges that had felt overwhelming for years. We communicate better with her therapists and school, and the doctor even helped them understand our daughter’s unique special needs. She is finally progressing, and we are so happy to have that direction.
-Mother of 5 yo
I appreciate these evaluations that give me important clarity on my patient’s multifaceted issues. They give me the ability to make informed decisions about care, collaborate with family support their child effectively throughout development.
-Pediatrician
Her careful attention to detail uncovered insights that were so helpful in understanding our son’s needs. She guided our family with compassion and offered recommendations that made a meaningful difference in supporting his mental health and development. It was clear that she is both highly knowledgeable and genuinely dedicated to helping the families she works with, and we are truly grateful for her guidance and support.
-Parent of 9 yo
Rather than only being confused and frustrated, our doctor taught us how our daughter’s multiple disabilities play a role in her unique needs that can be managed as she transitions to adulthood. Our family feels empowered to help her pursue what she wants in the next step in her life, and ours.
-Father of 18 yo
I find neuropsych testing extremely helpful in better understanding the cognitive underpinnings of behavior and emotions. Insight into cognitive issues that impact academic learning and executive function helps to better understand challenges in mastering developmental tasks. With this information, there are effective behavioral and medication management plans that allow children to gain greater success and mastery. As they develop mastery, the issues no longer define them or how they connect with others
